Not everything has gone wrong in this series. The Rockies benefited from two calls in the fifth inning involving Ty Wigginton, one that led to a run. Ubaldo Jimenez found himself in a greasy situation with two aboard. He struck out Buster Posey and Chris Iannetta threw high to Wigginton, who tagged out Freddy Sanchez at third. Replays showed he was safe. In the bottom half, Wigginton tagged up and scored on a sacrifice fly, though Posey clipped his leg before he touched the plate.

Carlos Gonzalez remains hitless against Giants left-hander Jonathan Sanchez. CarGo is 0-for-14 with six strikeouts.
