A Park County Sheriff’s deputy who was demoted for hosting a party where a teenage girl got drunk, was called an “embarrassment to his department” by his boss Monday.
When asked if Deputy Glenn Hardey had embarrassed his department, Sheriff Fred Wegener replied, “I’m almost positive he has.”
The party happened on Dec. 27, 2010, but didn’t gain attention until recently when a colleague turned Hardey in.
However, when he joined the Park County Sheriff’s Department 11 years ago, Hardey signed a code of ethics.
