The Aurora Media Group announced today that it will move daily news editions online and offer an expanded print editions once a week in early May.
“Our decision to transform ourselves into a digital media company is consistent with the way people consume and produce news,” Aurora Sentinel and Buckley Guardian Publisher James Gold said in a statement. “It is the future of local media.”
The last daily print edition of the Aurora Sentinel will be published May 4, coinciding with changes on the newspaper’s website.
On May 5, the redesigned Aurora Sentinel and Buckley Guardian will hit the stands and be distributed through home and business delivery.
The Aurora Publishing Co. sold the Sentinel and Guardian to the Aurora Media Group LLC on Feb. 24 for an undisclosed price.
