PUEBLO — A 30-year-old man has been killed in an explosion at a metals recycling business in southern Colorado.
The explosion occurred shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Western Metals Recycling, a business near the Evraz Rocky Mountain Steel Mill in Pueblo. The explosion was first reported as being at or near the steel mill about 100 miles south of Denver.
The coroner identified the victim as Ignacio Rendon Cornelio, a contract worker from Louisiana who is a Mexican national.
