
Rain showers are likely in Denver today, and afternoon thunderstorms could rumble over the city, as well.
The same weather system that’s bringing rain to Denver is dumping snow in some mountain areas. Eastbound Loveland Pass is closed this morning because of adverse weather conditions.
Patchy areas of fog along the Front Range this morning should lift by this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Denver’s high temperature today should be about 67 degrees, the weather service said.
Snow showers will be numerous in the central and northern mountains today and some areas will see up to 8 inches of new snow by tonight and 12 inches by Friday morning.
On Friday in Denver skies will be mostly sunny and the high temperature should hit about 61 degrees, the weather service reports.
