
Police in Parker are investigating after a 12-year-old girl reported a man who on Wednesday tried to give her a ride.
Police responded at about 11:45 a.m. to the Hidden River subdivision in the 20300 block of Willowbend Lane.
According to the 12-year-old girl, an hour before, at about 10:43 a.m., while she was walking to a friend’s home, she was approached by a man in an older white van.
The van pulled up next to the her and the man asked if she wanted a ride. She said no and ran to her friend’s home. The man never got out of the van.
Parker Police searched the area and were unable to locate the van or the driver.
The driver is described as a white man in his 40s with brown curly hair and a deep voice. He was wearing a light green sweatshirt, and a light green baseball hat that he wore backwards. He also wore dark sunglasses.
The van is described as a white, older model box-type van, without side windows, and with an American flag sticker in the lower left back window.
Police are doing follow up as a suspicious occurrence and will coordinate with other metro agencies looking for similar incidents.
