Fans of Sara Gruen’s 2006 novel might be watching “Water for Elephants” to see how closely the filmmakers stayed to the saga of love and danger in an early-20th-century circus. Fans of the era also want to see how they dressed stars Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson and a big cast of performers.
