Arvada police are looking for those involved in a suspected mail theft ring that has gotten away with more than $100,000.

The ring has been operating about seven months in the metro Denver area, as well as in Wyoming, Utah, California and New Mexico.

Police and postal investigators released photos of a man and woman who are suspects, as well as a dark van or sport-utility vehicle they might be travelling in.

In Arvada alone, mail has been reported stolen at least two dozen times, the department said in a media release this afternoon.

In some case, the group created and cashed computer-generated fraudulent checks at businesses and post offices.

There is a $1,000 reward. Anyone with information can call the U.S. Postal Inspectors hotline at 303-313-5311.
