FAIRFAX, Vt.—Vermont State Police say they’ve arrested a Fairfax soldier on a charge he deserted from the U.S. Army.

Twenty-year-old Andrew King of Fairfax and Fort Carson, Colo., was taken into custody on Thursday.

He is being held without bail at the Chittenden Correctional Center in South Burlington on the federal warrant.

Police say Army officials have been notified.

Police say King is a member of the 4th Infantry Division based out of Fort Carson.
