Former University of Colorado student Casey Abrams was eliminated Thursday night on “American Idol.”
There are now just five contestants left on this season’s show.
Abrams, a music major at CU, made a name for himself by playing the upright bass during his performances.
His mother told him that he harmonized to “oldies but goodies” in the car at age 3, according to a video interview posted on the show’s Web site.
Abrams was nearly eliminated in March but was saved by the judges.
As he left the show, Abrams sang, “I Cast a Spell on You.”
