Getting your player ready...
ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—With their last pick of the NFL draft Saturday, the Denver Broncos addressed their needs on the defensive front by taking Jeremy Beal of Oklahoma.
Beal, a defensive end, had 29 career sacks, a total that’s second in Sooners history. He also finished with 224 career tackles.
The Broncos used six of their nine picks on defense, but the 6-foot-3, 267-pound Beal was the first to shore up a defensive line that contributed to the team’s struggles against the run.
Denver turned to the Oklahoma program for another player as well, taking safety Quinton Carter in the fourth round.
