ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—The Denver Broncos selected another safety in the draft, taking Quinton Carter of Oklahoma in the fourth round.

The Broncos have used four of their five picks on defense, but none to shore up a defensive line that contributed to the team’s struggles against the run.

Carter had 96 tackles and four interceptions for the Sooners last season.

This was the second safety the Broncos have taken in the draft. They took Rahim Moore of UCLA on Friday. It was an area of need with perennial Pro Bowler Brian Dawkins turning 38 next season.

The Broncos entered the draft’s third day with five picks.
