Getting your player ready...
The Panthers opened the draft with a reach in quarterback Cam Newton and opened the draft’s third day with a significant reach as well. With the first pick of the fourth round they selected West Virginia cornerback Brandon Hogan. Hogan, at 5-10 1/4, 192 pounds, was arrested twice in 2010. He also tore his left anterior cruciate ligament late in the season and is still recovering. Hogan did not work out at the combine and was also unable to work out at the school’s pro day. It makes him a player with both injury and off-the-field concerns that Carolina used a top 100 selection to take.
