Most of southern Colorado is under a freeze warning or watch from 2 a.m. until 9 a.m. Monday with temperatures plunging into the teens or 20s, according to the National Weather Service.

Sprinklers and tender spring vegetation could be at risk, forecasters warned.

Temperatures are expected to warm up during the day, including a forecast high of 55 degrees in Pueblo and 35 in Aspen.

Denver has a slight chance of rain and a high in the mid-50s Monday, before temperatures warm to the upper 60s or lower 70s under sunny skies the rest of the week, forecasters said
