Two bank robbery suspects from Douglas County were arrested this morning after police shut down a highway and nabbed the pair sitting in stalled traffic.
The bank robbery happened in Douglas County at about 9:30 a.m. and the suspects were arrested about an hour later on C-470 in Jefferson County near West Bowles Avenue, said Trooper Nate Reid, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman.
The suspects were arrested without incident, Reid said.
Douglas County authorities and the FBI are investigating the bank robbery, Reid said.
