The Regional Air Quality Council is once again offering up to 50 percent discounts on electric or reel lawn mowers; you get the biggest discounts when you recycle your old gas mower at one of the three “Mow Down Pollution” events Saturday in Denver, Commerce City, and Lone Tree. (You can also recycle old mowers there even if you’re not buying a new one.)
Unlike in other years, the mowers are being shipped to buyers directly, not sold at the events. Discounts are limited, though, because they’re funded by a grant. Register for a mower and get more info at
