Colorado’s casinos posted a 3.4 percent increase in revenue in 2010 compared with 2009, according to a report released today by the American Gaming Association.
Casinos in Black Hawk, Cripple Creek and Central City reported revenue of $759.6 million last year, up from $734.6 million in 2009. Nationwide, the commercial casino revenue rose 0.9 percent to $34.6 billion in 2010.
Colorado’s 37 casinos employed roughly 9,600 people who earned $258.4 million in wages last year, including tips and benefits, according to the annual State of the States report.
