Getting your player ready...

Jose Morales has made the most of his starts. After the Rockies lost two games to rainouts, the backup catcher has knocked in runs in four of his seven starts. Morales drove in Rockies runs with a sacrifice fly in the second inning and a single up the middle in the fourth.

3-2-1 no contact.

The contact play at third base backfired in this series. Three times Rockies runners broke on contact, and all three were thrown out, including Dexter Fowler in the first inning on a grounder by Troy Tulowitzki to third baseman Melvin Mora.

Forgettable.

These aren’t your dad’s D-backs. The organist played Cee Lo Green’s “Forget You” minutes before the first pitch. There was no singalong, so the censorship button was spared.
