Getting your player ready...

Wheelchair- bound travelers never know when they are going to encounter steps, with no ramp. Now they can travel with their own portable lightweight ramp system. Packed inside a nylon bag are two sturdy aluminum tracks with nonskid treads. Placed parallel to each other (the distance between the tracks depends on wheelchair width) the three- section tracks telescope from 3 to 5 feet, creating a ramp with a 660-pound (330 pounds per track) weight capacity. The ramps stash easily inside the bag, which attaches to the back of the wheelchair for transport. Weighs about 14 pounds. Getting the knack of the ramp system may take some practice, so experiment at home first. Mabis 5 Telescoping Adjustable Wheelchair Ramp (item A-517-4094-0000), $173, or 800-998-7750
