Police have not released the name of the motorcyclist killed in a crash Sunday night.
The 33-year-old man crashed his motorcycle while speeding through a turn in the 5500 block of Flintridge Drive, Colorado Springs police said.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to police, the 1981 Honda failed to negotiate the turn because of excessive speed, struck the curb, went off the road and hit a decorative boulder.
The driver was thrown from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet and did not have a license to operate a motorcycle, police said.
