FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A U.S. Forest Service district ranger in Montana has been chosen as the deputy forest supervisor on the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland in Colorado.

Ron Archuleta is the district ranger on the Yellowstone Ranger District of the Gallatin National Forest but is due to start his new position in July. His predecessor as deputy forest supervisor on the Arapaho and Roosevelt forests is now the regional forester’s representative for the Forest Service’s bark beetle incident management team.

Archuleta has served as the assistant wildlife program manager in the Forest Service’s Washington office, and he has served in eight national forests across the West.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology from Colorado State University.
