Two pickup trucks collided head-on in southern Colorado this morning and both drivers died in the crash.
Three other people were injured in the crash, which happened about 11:15 a.m. on U.S. Highway 160 just east of Fort Garland, said Trooper Nate Reid, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman.
One injured person was flown by helicopter to Pueblo and another was flown to Taos, N.M., Reid said. The third injured person was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
The highway was temporarily shut down by the crash, which is under investigation.
None of the people involved were identified.
