A wind-blown, fast-moving fire spread across a field in west Greeley on Monday evening, destroying a home and two outbuildings and injuring two firefighters.
The fire, at 83rd Avenue and 10th Street, shut down several east-west roads, including 10th and 4th streets, and 83rd Avenue going north-south.
An ambulance with Weld County Paramedic Services was sent to the scene to aid two firefighters, who both were taken to North Colorado Medical Center. One suffered a knee injury, the other heat exhaustion. Both appeared to be in good condition.
