A Chappelow K-8 Magnet School teacher accused by students of cheating on the Colorado Student Assessment Program tests faces dismissal from the district after an investigation found several inconsistencies in testing.

Roger Fiedler, communications director for the district, said the investigation found the teacher did not follow proper protocols as set forth by the state and the district.

Linda Trimberger, District 6 board of education president, read a prepared statement at the beginning of the board’s regular meeting on Monday that said superintendent Ranelle Lang was recommending the dismissal of a nonprobationary teacher.

The district refused to identify the teacher, saying it was a personnel matter.
