A three-story Aurora town home was damaged in a fire this afternoon.
The fire at 11824 East Kepner Drive was first reported at 2:46 p.m., according to Capt. Allen Robnett, a spokesman with the Aurora Fire Department.
One person was in the building at the time of the fire but was able to escape the building uninjured before firefighters arrived at the scene. A cat that was in the house was also rescued safely.
Crews were able to keep the fire contained to the house, but all three floors were damaged.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
