DENVER—The Colorado State Parks Board is considering slashing senior discounts on park passes starting July 1.

The board is scheduled to consider the changes next week at a meeting in Pueblo as parks face a drop in state tax revenues.

Annual passes that are good for admission to state parks are usually $70, but Coloradans ages 64 and older have been able to get them for half price. The parks board is considering reducing the discount to $10, so the passes would cost seniors $60.

The board also is considering raising the price of a seniors’ lifetime pass from $175 to $300.
