A former bookkeeper faces up to nine years in prison after she pleaded guilty this morning to stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from her Boulder-based employer, Highline Financial Services Inc.

Michelle Lynn Shelton, 40, was arrested in January at her home in Westminster after Boulder police obtained a warrant for her arrest on suspicion of theft and computer crime, both felonies.

According to police, Shelton stole $760,000 from Highline Financial Services, 2930 Center Green Court, over several years.
