Two 7-Eleven stores were robbed at gunpoint within a three hour period Friday morning and four robbers are still on the loose, police said.
The first robbery happened in Manitou Springs at 339 Manitou Ave. Manitou Springs police were called to the store just after 3 a.m.
The victim told police that one man wearing a white and black bandana and sunglasses came into the store, showed a gun and demanded money. Two more men then came in, jumped over the counter and tried to get into the safe. They ran west from the store with an undetermined amount of money.
The second robber hit the 7-Eleven at 2407 N. Union Blvd. in central Colorado Springs just before 6 a.m. This criminal also came into the store wearing a bandana over his face. The victim told Colorado Springs police that the man ran from the store, heading east.
In both cases police searched the areas, but couldn’t find the robbers.
