WASHINGTON — House Republican Paul Ryan of Wisconsin is considering running for the U.S. Senate after Friday’s retirement announcement by Democratic Sen. Herb Kohl. On CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, Ryan said he would announce his decision “very quickly.” Ryan, 41, has drawn attention for his Medicare-reform proposal. He is chairman of the House Budget Committee.
