DENVER—Officials say video from a neighbor’s surveillance camera could help police find the driver in a hit-and-run accident that knocked over a 10-year-old boy playing in a Denver neighborhood.

Eric Aguilar had been playing in a front yard Friday evening when he ran into street as another child chased him. Surveillance videos from the cameras show Aguilar getting hit by a dark sedan and crashing into the pavement as the driver speeds away.

Despite the impact, Aguilar told KUSA-TV he feels “terrific.” He survived with a few cuts and no broken bones.

Neighbor Nicol Ocampo said she installed cameras around her house after her husband’s truck was stolen.

Police say the vehicle might be a Dodge Neon or Chevy Malibu that might have a partial license plate number of 357.
