The Colorado Bead Company, a jewelry-making supply and bead store, will open a week from Tuesday on East Colfax Avenue.
The store, the inspiration of Anne Fellini, will have an extensive inventory including a wide array of pearls, turquoise, chrysoprase, jade and lapis gemstones, according to Fellini. It will also have other materials including Swarovski crystals, copper, gunmetal and Sterling findings.
Located at 1245 E. Colfax, the store will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“Our goal is to provide our guests with the widest array of beads, crafting supplies and classes, as well as a feeling of community and comfort within our store,” said Fellini. “After being laid off for more than six months, I decided that I would take a chance and combine my two passions: community and crafting.”
Fellini said the community room will be transformed into a classroom several nights a week to host bridal parties, children’s birthday parties, foundational skills classes and project-specified classes for the public.
Fellini said the Colorado Bead Co. has one of the most comprehensive bead collections in the state including seed beads, gemstones, pearls and crystals.Howard Pankratz: 303-954-1939 or hpankratz@denverpost.com.
