DENVER—Denver police are looking for witnesses in an apparent hit-and-run accident that left a bicyclist dead.
Officials have identified the man killed as 50-year-old David Pickett of Lakewood. They say it appears he was riding his bike to work when he was hit by a car around 5 a.m. Monday in northeast Denver.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials say they have no description of the car that struck him. They’re looking for witnesses who were at the intersection of 46th Avenue and Josephine Street at the time.
Authorities are looking for a vehicle that might have damages consistent with hitting someone.
