Steve Bach, a conservative businessman who pledged to shake up City Hall and bring jobs to Colorado Springs, was easily winning the historic and hotly contested race to become the city’s first strong mayor.
His opponent, Richard Skorman, conceded the race in mid-evening.
In incomplete returns, Bach has 53,565 votes; Richard Skorman 40,069.
Bach is expected to take office June 7.
