FORT CARSON, Colo.—A Fort Carson helicopter crew on a training flight has landed in a field as a precaution after a warning indicator light came on.

KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs reports the chopper landed safely at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Fort Carson spokeswoman Billie Garner tells The Associated Press that the two-member crew landed just east of the Army post. She says a crew has been sent to repair the Apache helicopter.

The helicopter crew is from the 1-2 Aviation Reconnaissance Battalion at the post outside Colorado Springs
