Getting your player ready...

Fishing for crappie has improved along the Front Range and Eastern waters. With water temperatures in the upper 50s, the fish are tightly schooled and shallow. Concentrate your efforts near shore around rocky or brushy structure. Small jigs, weighted flies or minnows below a bobber will do the trick. North Park shore fishers are doing better than boats. Fishing low-light hours with large streamers or minnow imitations can produce bigger fish.
