The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Adams, Weld and Broomfield counties.
The warning, posted at 2:38 p.m., covers northwestern Adams, southwestern Weld and eastern Broomfield. It expires at 3:30 p.m.
The weather reports half-dollar sized hail dumped by a storm over Thornton.
Locations in the warning include Frederick, Fort Lupton, Firestone, Dacono, Brighton, Barr Lake, northeastern Westminster, Thornton, Northglenn, northern Commerce City and eastern Broomfield.
