A Boulder man was arrested early this morning on suspicion of drunken driving, underage drinking and careless driving after police said he crashed his Subaru Impreza through a fence and into a yard in south Boulder.
Police were called about the crash at 1905 Vassar Drive just after midnight and found the Subaru stuck in the mud in a wet residential lawn after apparently crashing through a three-post wooden fence, according to a police report.
The car’s bumper was detached and sitting near the home’s front porch, and an officer noticed tire tracks in the mud in the yard where the driver apparently tried to back out before getting stuck on the fence, the police reported.
An officer contacted the driver, Kyle Donaghy, 18, who told police that he lives a few houses down from the scene of the crash on Vassar Drive and was turning on to the street from Table Mesa Drive when he lost control and veered into the yard.
