Heritage Rose Sale & Open House

Saturday: The sale starts at 8 a.m. and continues until roses are gone. Varieties include Fairmount Heritage, Climbers, Bourbon, Gallica, Floribunda, Polyantha, Perpetual, Species, Canadian and English Shrub, Alba and Miniatures. David Ingram, director of education for the Denver Rose Society, will provide ongoing rose-pruning demonstrations. Various rose lectures are offered at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. for a $5 suggested donation in the Chapel in the Pines. Proceeds benefit FHF educational and preservation programs. The rose sale is part of a two-day Fairmount Heritage Foundation Open House with history tours Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and tree tours at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday.
