Trailblazers wanted.

The Continental Divide Trail Alliance is seeking volunteers to help build and maintain the Continental Divide trail this summer and fall. The projects will take place along the divide throughout New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. Projects range from one to seven days. Some camping experience is recommended but not required. There is no cost to volunteer, and volunteers receive all meals, instruction and supervision, plus a T-shirt and goodie bag. or 303-278-3177

The 21st annual Estes Park Wool Market will take place June 9-12. There will be demonstrations — including shearing, fiber preparation, spinning and weaving — contests, a children’s tent, exhibits, and the sale of fiber animals and products from their wool. More than 50 booths will offer fleece, raw fibers, novelty knitting and crocheting yarns, as well as finished coats, scarves, hats, shawls and fiber-processing equipment.

Black Canyon Art Exhibit.

The 52nd annual Black Canyon Art Exhibit takes place June 17-19. The show features works of art and workshops. The event is held at Memorial Hall in Hotchkiss and features an opening reception on Friday night.

Cherry-picking.

Sparky’s Farm Market in Hotchkiss will start mid-June. Visitors may pick sweet cherries and other seasonal produce, find local fare at the country store and explore Frontier Village, an old-time recreated Main Street. There are free wagon rides and games for the kids. 970-872-7737

Crested Butte Bike Week.

The 31st annual Crested Butte Bike Week will be held June 23-26. Participants can take part in the Fat Tire 40 mountain bike race, tech expo, Mountain States Cup Wildflower Rush races, the infamous Chainless World Championships, Bridges of the Butte townie tour, an outdoor concert, guided rides and more. or 800-814-8893
