GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Wells Fargo is closing its mortgage application processing center in Grand Junction.
Spokeswoman Christie Drumm says the closure will affect 55 local employees. Drumm says the bank will attempt to find jobs for the employees in other departments.
The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel says processing center employees were given 60 days notice that their jobs will end. They will receive pay and benefits through July 18.
Drumm says the center is being closed for efficiency.
Wells Fargo announced in March it would lay off 85 employees from its Denver mortgage-application-processing center.
