A dog died Thursday evening when a fire ignited inside a Colorado Springs home.
Colorado Springs firefighters were notified of the fire at 7:47 p.m. and had it under control within 20 minutes of arriving at the house, 3041 W. Wandering Court.
The fire appears to have started on the main level of the house before burning through an upper level floor, said Sunny Smaldino, fire spokeswoman.
The Red Cross was called to help one person who was displaced from the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Smaldino said.
