The man who was shot to death in his northeast Denver home Saturday night was identified Monday as Gary Chavez.
Chavez, 51, died of a gunshot wound to his abdomen; his death was ruled a homicide.
Police said there was an argument between Chavez and the owner of the home in which he lived.
The homeowner has not been identified and was released.
