A woman accused of being drunk as she drove the wrong way on a highway, causing a fatal accident, was formally charged Thursday.
Victoria Barry, 26, allegedly was drunk May 14 as she drove southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 25, according to the Denver district attorney’s office.
Barry crashed into a car near Downing Street, killing the driver, Lilly Duncan, 31, of Colorado Springs, and then collided with a second car.
Barry faces two counts of vehicular homicide and one count of driving under the influence.
She was released from custody on a $25,000 bond and is set to appear in court June 3 to be formally advised of the charges.
