• There will be an open house at the Highline Gardens cremation area and Wind Chimes area from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fairmount Cemetery, 430 S. Quebec St., Denver. Also from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be an open house at the Chapel of the Pines historical display from Fairmount and Riverside cemeteries.
• Centennial Pipes and Drums bagpipers will parade from the Historic Tower of Memories down the avenue of flags to the Pavilion of Reflection at 10 a.m. at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, Cemetery and Arboretum at 7777 W. 29th Ave., Wheat Ridge. At 10:30 a.m. at the Pavilion of Reflection, there will be a tribute to veterans and families, a concert by the Boulder Brass Quintet, a dove release and an ice cream social.
Sunday
• Pianist and vocalist Linda Cusimano will perform a selection of patriotic and Broadway musical hits at Fairmount Cemetery’s Ivy Chapel, 430 S. Quebec St., at 2 p.m.
• An American flag skydiving demonstration will take place at 7 p.m. at the northeast corner of the cemetery at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, Cemetery and Arboretum, 7777 W. 29th Ave., Wheat Ridge. A Queen City Jazz Band concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Pavilion of Reflection. A fireworks display will start at 8:30 p.m. at the northeast corner of the cemetery.
