COLORADO SPRINGS — Authorities say the search for a 51-year-old Colorado Springs woman missing since March 31 has turned into a homicide investigation.

Colorado Springs police on Friday declined to say why they’re treating Deborah Heriford’s case as a homicide.

The development was first reported by KKTV in Colorado Springs.

Heriford had separated from her husband in July 2010. Police say they’ve impounded a car belonging to his fiancee and that it’s now part of the investigation. Police say they haven’t identified any suspects.
