One person was taken to the hospital this afternoon after an accident closed a section of Interstate 25 for about 20 minutes.
The southbound lanes of I-25 were closed from 20th Street and Speer Boulevard after a car rolled over, said Sonny Jackson, spokesman for the Denver Police Department.
One person was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries and a possible head injury.
The person’s name was not released.
What caused the accident is under investigation, Jackson said.
The closure caused delays as far as U.S. Highway 36 as well as on Interstate 70, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
