Boulder police are asking for the public’s help in the search for a suspect in assaults that took place in May at the Walrus bar in downtown Boulder.

The suspect may be responsible for bias-motivated attacks on two Middle Eastern men, both students at the University of Colorado, according to police.

Police described the suspect as 6 feet 3 inches or 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 230 to 240 pounds. The suspect has curly brown hair and blue eyes.

The suspect was with a friend during the assaults, police said. The friend is not considered a suspect but may be a witness. Police described the witness as 6 feet tall, weighing 190 pounds with brown hair and a scar on his lip.

Detective Brian Scott can be reached at 303-441-3381 with information about the assaults.
