The Denver Post will correct all errors occurring in its news columns. If you find a problem with a story — an error of fact or a point requiring clarification — please call the city desk at 303-954-1201.

• Because of a reporting error, a story Thursday on Page 1A about an e-mail from a Denver police sergeant to the city’s manager of safety misstated the number of officers in his unit who he said had been hurt by suspects. His e-mail says there were two.

• A story May 25 on Page 1A about Adams County’s business relationship with Sierra Detention Systems overstated both the length of time the county had been paying the company to maintain security and television systems at the county jail and the total amount of those payments. The story was based on multiple county documents that Adams County officials now acknowledge contained errors. A staff memo prepared by the county’s purchasing officer, two resolutions approved by the county commissioners, and a discussion at a meeting of the commissioners all overstated the length of time over which the maintenance payments were made and the total amount of money paid to Sierra Detention Systems for maintenance on the closed-circuit television and security systems at the Adams County jail. The maintenance work actually began in July 2007, and the monthly payments for that work commenced in September 2007, county officials acknowledged this week.
