Take a walk or a ride during Arvada Trails Day
Saturday. Hit the road at Arvada Trails Day. Held at two locations, the outdoorsy event includes many types of trail-related fun, including two 5K walks and a 20-mile bike ride. Start the day at either Majestic View Nature Center or Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge. Lakewood’s return to the last century
Saturday. Get a taste of 20th-century Lakewood at the Rockin’ Block Party at Lakewood’s Heritage Center. Free tours of the Heritage Center’s historic buildings, then game time from 5 to 7 p.m. The evening begins with a concert by 1980s tribute act Into the Groove, followed by an outdoor screening of “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” 10 a.m. to about 10:30 p.m. Lakewood’s Heritage Center, 801 S. Hot chili and cool brews start summer in Aspen
Through Saturday. Summer in the mountains gets off to a spicy start at the Snowmass Chili Pepper and Brew Fest. The two-day party features tastings of hot chili and refreshing microbrews.
