The Parker Police Department is offering a free class for people wanting to be trained as weather spotters, the town said in a news release.
Participants will receive a National Weather Service identification number, plus information on what to do if they see a severe weather event such as a tornado, a strong thunderstorm or a flash flood.
The class is June 15 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
